Victoria N. Matthews is an associate in the firm's Houston office, where she focuses on U.S. trade law and regulatory compliance as it relates to import and export requirements.
Ms. Matthews:
Prior to beginning her international trade law practice, Ms. Matthews worked for Jones McClure Publishing, which publishes the O'Connor’s series of legal practitioner's guides. She was an assistant managing editor for O'Connor’s Texas Rules * Civil Trials and O'Connor’s Texas Civil Forms and was part of the intern management team. Ms. Matthews began her legal career as an associate at Doyle Restrepo, Harvin & Robbins, where she advised insurance companies on coverage issues resulting from both commercial and personal policies.
While at The University of Texas, Ms. Matthews was a manuscript editor for the American Journal of Criminal Law, studied international law at Queen Mary, University of London in England, and was honored as a recipient of the Co-Op Public Interest Award. She continues to be active with the School of Law, serving as permanent class officer, reunion co-chair, and as a past Keeton Fellow.
