THOMAS P. SCOTT, III is Of Counsel in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Scott’s practice focuses on U.S. trade law and regulation, with a particular emphasis on export controls and embargoes, bringing extensive experience to these areas. His clients include a variety of technology-intensive companies, both large and small.
Mr. Scott:
After beginning his legal career in Europe, Mr. Scott has practiced law in Washington, D.C. for the past twenty-five years, focusing on international trade, export compliance and regulation, and customs law.
Mr. Scott teaches export control courses for the District of Columbia Bar’s Continuing Legal Education Program, has taught export administration seminars for the Santa Clara Valley World Trade Association and the Southern Arizona Institute for Advanced Training, and has taught intensive trade-compliance seminars for industry.
While at the University of Georgia School of Law, Mr. Scott was a Special Projects Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
